Can I take my name off the family house and avoid stamp duty on another?


I want give our home to my wife and go and buy a property in Wales where she might join me Q My wife and I have a different outlook on the future. I wish to go and live in Wales and buy a home for myself to live in. I am happy to give our home to my wife (in the hope that she would see sense and join me). I understand that the government may see me as having an ulterior motive, but this is not the case. I want no money from any future sale.
