Housing affordability is a major issue facing many Singaporeans including young couples. To help them find their first property in a strong real estate climate, we’ve dedicated this issue to helping them answer key questions such as what they should know when buying a home. Turn to page 5 for our Guru View.
Location is also an important consideration and many young couples will be looking at non-mature estates such as Punggol and Sengkang because they are relatively affordable and boast various modern amenities.
Outside these two areas, there’s also Tampines which is expected to grow in the coming years. A Build-To-Order launch in February will see new flats there being offered to buyers. Read the full story on page 9.
Elsewhere in this issue, we look at how you can manage your finances to pay for a house in Singapore. If you think it makes more sense to buy an overseas property, then you may want to consider Paris, also known as the city of love. A popular tourist destination, the French capital is attracting a growing number of foreign investors due to record-low interest rates and competitive asking prices.
As for those who already own a home and are just looking for ideas to make their interiors more stylish, we’ve got some splendid examples that are truly out of the box.
Happy house hunting!
