In terms of location, Punggol in District 19 is an up-and-coming estate for younger home buyers and investors. It’s not a mature town yet, so property prices there are generally lower compared to other areas like Ang Mo Kio or Bishan. As it develops further, prices will rise leading to higher capital appreciation in the long term.
Looking abroad, the UK city of Birmingham seems like a promising destination for Asian investors due to its more affordable prices compared to Manchester or London. Its booming economy also means there’s been lots of investments in infrastructure, such as its Big City Plan.
