New figures showing one in five central Auckland houses are being sold to offshore buyers vindicates the Government’s coming ban on foreign ownership, the country’s Trade Minister David Parker says.
Responding to the latest Statistics NZ data on property sales, Parker said foreign investment was highest in the regions where housing was least affordable.
