Longfor Properties, one of China’s largest residential and commercial developers, expects its financing costs to drop below 5 per cent by the end of the year, even as the central government looks to tighten lending to the property sector.
The company’s average funding costs already stood at a record-low 5.18 per cent at the end of June, down from 5.74 per cent at the end of 2015.
