Landlords lose legal challenge over buy-to-let tax changes


Cherie Booth thwarted in attempt to secure judicial review Landlords represented by Cherie Booth QC have failed in their legal battle against a planned government tax increase on buy-to-let properties.The landlords argued that new rules, to be phased in from 2017, amounted to an unfair tax on tenants because they would drive up costs for buy-to-let investors, and went to court seeking a judicial review.
