In Brighton, Jeremy Corbyn made clear Labour wants to be the champion of a smaller but increasingly politicised electorate: tenants.Concern is crystallising in both parties that voters will punish hard any failure to tackle the housing crisis at the next election. This month the communities secretary, Sajid Javid, launched a green paper on social housing in response to the Grenfell Tower disaster.
