By Karen WilsonWhen Annemarie and Paddy St Vincent Farr bought their four-storey Victorian semi in Hastings, East Sussex, it was painted white from top to bottom. However, with Annemarie in charge of the re-decorating, it soon became a bright, eccentric party house, with a record player on every floor and an explosion of jewel-like colours in every room.“When I was little I wanted to be a gas meter reader so I could nose around other people’s houses,” laughs Annemarie, 52, an events designer who specialises in upholstery, wallpaper and soft furnishings, and has dressed outdoor weddings and Moroccan tents.
