Here is the latest dilemma – what are your thoughts?I am 56 and recently divorced after 30 years, during which I didn’t work but assisted with my husband’s business. I have to sell our house to pay off a mortgage and try to start again with the leftover sum. In the last four years I have taken a BA and an MA in arts and found a small amount of freelance research work (which has now dried up) – very good experience, but it did not pay enough to cover expensive travel to London each day from my rural home.
