My son wants to buy a flat with his girlfriend and has £280,000 for a deposit while she has £20,000Q My son wishes to buy a flat with his girlfriend. He has approximately £280,000 in cash to put down as a deposit and she has £20,000. I have also said that I am willing to give my son a loan of £70,000 to be paid back without interest over the next 10 years. They will also need a mortgage of about £90,000.
