Hang Lung Properties, the first developer to kick off the reporting season, reported strong earnings last year on the back of rising property income in Hong Kong.
Underlying profit, excluding revaluation gains in investment properties, rose 45 per cent to HK$6.34 billion, or HK$1.38 per share, the company said in a statement to the Hong Kong exchange. Analysts polled by Reuters were expecting net income of HK$4.7 billion to HK$6.9 billion.
