I had dropped it on the seat in front of me but it proved impossible for the airline to findI arranged for my two sisters and me to fly out on a surprise birthday visit to our fourth sister, who lives in Venice. We are all in our 70s and haven’t holidayed together since we were children. When I was putting my bag in the overhead locker of our easyJet flight, my passport, unbeknown to me, slipped onto the seat in front.
