Business rates appeals could take years as backlog mounts


Revaluation complaints threaten to add to delays as cutbacks hit work of Valuation Office AgencyBusinesses that appeal their new rates bills could wait years to have their complaints resolved because of the backlog facing the government body that handles the tax.The Valuation Office Agency has a backlog of around 280,000 appeals.
