The buzz in Bangkok is palpable these days. Richard Allan Aquino, who moved to the Thai capital in 2014 from the Philippines, can feel it during his commute to work.
“I see new developments taking place. Buildings are being constructed … more expats are working here in Bangkok,” Aquino said. The eastern line of the city’s elevated transit system, the BTS Skytrain, has been extended at least twice since he moved to Bangkok, the world’s second-most visited city after Hong Kong.
