It justified the forced entry by claiming she owed £1,300, a bill it admitted had been wrongly estimated. In fact, £300 was owing but was only unpaid because npower hadn’t updated its systems when we reported her death.It told us that it had tried to phone prior to breaking in, causing £100-worth of damage.
