5 reasons why you should join the Property Report Congress Vietnam

It will be the real estate calendar’s top networking event of the year
Property Report Congress 2015 in Singapore
At the first Property Report Congress in Singapore last year, Vietnam was the runaway choice of investors and industry experts when they were asked which market was expected to perform well in 2016.
Now that Vietnam will host its very own Property Report Congress in Ho Chi Minh City, here’s a list of what to look forward to the conference and why you should be attending this event.
1—Find out what’s going in the domestic market
The conference, which will be attended by real estate experts and industry influencers from Hanoi to HCMC and beyond, will kick off with a State of the Market keynote address, to be presented by Marc Townsend, managing director of CBRE Vietnam.
Townsend, who regularly gives out talks about the local property sector, has been responsible for servicing the property requirements of multinational corporations in the country and the implementation of property management systems into new and existing developments. With an in-depth knowledge of the Southeast Asian market as a whole, Townsend will offer a clear picture where the Vietnam property sector stands.

2—Meet and learn from foreign experts
“How can local developers attract foreign buyers?” is the big question on a lot of Vietnamese real estate developers and professionals’ minds since the implementation of the Law on Residential Housing. At the Property Report Congress, respected analysts such as JLL Vietnam’s Stephen Wyatt and Alternaty Real Estate’s Rudolf Hever will share and discuss how to properly market, finance and implement development practices for residential and commercial projects.
Singapore-based Nicholas Holt, Asia-Pacific head of real estate at Knight Frank, will lead the conversation on the market and economic trends in the region that may or may not impact Vietnamese developments in the AEC era. Aside from the macro-economic review, there will be a session dedicated to successful retail developers in Southeast Asia.
3—Discover the most significant recent developments in Vietnam
“Unlike many of its neighbours, Vietnam has not traditionally been home to iconic and supertall buildings. But this is all about to change,” claims panel speaker Bertil de Kleynen, sector director for Architecture, Interiors & Landscape at Atkins in Asia Pacific.
Atkins is the team behind the future tallest building in Vietnam, Vincom Landmark 81, located in HCMC. The mixed-use skyscraper, which will be completed next year, is a symbol of the changing skyline of Vietnam’s biggest cities with international standards.
De Kleynen, along with another renowned architect Greg Shands, will talk about how to build iconic building according to global standards, whilst also preserving the cultural integrity of Vietnam.

4—Review your financial options
If you’re a first-time homebuyer in Vietnam, it would benefit you to know how you can secure a housing loan. Are foreign buyers allowed to secure financing now that the Vietnamese residential market is more open to foreign ownership? Expert panelists from Vietnam’s property and banking industries will give the answers at the Property Report Congress.
In addition, there will be Q&A sessions at the end of every panel discussion, to make sure that guests are heard and able to actively engage in the conversations.
5—Expand your international network
The ballroom of the InterContinental Asiana Saigon will be filled with more than a hundred property experts from Vietnam and overseas. It will be a tremendous opportunity for you to expand your global business network, whether you’re trying to lure foreign investors into Vietnam, or thinking about making an investment abroad.
Aside from the keynote addresses and panel discussions, Property Report Congress will feature sponsors exhibits and a networking lunch, so you can still generate business leads and potential contacts during the break.
The Vietnam Property Awards 2015 gala dinner
The conference, which runs from 10:00 to 16:00 on 10 June, will be immediately followed from 18:00 to 22:30 by the Vietnam Property Awards 2016 gala dinner and awards ceremony, an exclusive event that will reward the achievements of Vietnam’s exciting property sector. Both events are organised by PropertyGuru, Asia’s leading online property portal group.
Interested parties can register and purchase tickets here to join the Property Report Congress. Special bundle packages for the Congress and the Gala Dinner are available.
