Luxury property developer Seven Tides signs up Etihad Esco to improve energy efficiency


Seven Tides, a Dubai-based luxury property developer, has signed up Etihad Esco to help improve energy efficiency at 22 of its sites.As part of the Dh8 million agreement, Etihad Esco, which is a unit of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), will develop and tender for energy conservation and solar solutions, the company said.”We believe this will inspire other private sector players to implement energy efficient measures, which will help them with sustainable and long-term cost savings,” said Ali Al Jassim, chief executive of Etihad Esco.Contractors will be able to submit bids from the first quarter with awards issued by mid-2017. Seven Tides owns residential, commercial and hotel properties including in Discovery Gardens, the Anantara The Palm, Ibn Battuta Gate and Dukes Dubai.We know that our return on investment will be within the next three to five years,” said Seven Tides chief executive, Abdulla bin Sulayem.lgraves@thenational.aeFollow The National’s Business section on Twitter
