\nWealthy parents from outside the UK bought about \u00a32 billion (US$2.6 billion) of property in London over the past year in order to get their children into private schools and universities in the capital, according to a high-end estate agent.
\nKnight Frank said such foreign buyers snapped up 2,162 properties valued at a combined \u00a32 billion in the year to the end of May, up from \u00a31.65 billion in the previous year.
