\nVictor Li Tzar-kuoi\u2019s CK Asset Holdings announced a 20 per cent increase in core profit for the first half of the year, partly thanks to the world-record breaking sale of The Center in Central at HK$40.2 billion (US$5.15 billion).
\nThe interim results, announced Thursday, were the first for Li since he took over as chairman of CK Asset in May upon the retirement of his dad, Li Ka-shing, Hong Kong\u2019s richest man.
