\nWhile the Bank\u2019s mortgage report on the buy-to-let market was necessary, it had room to be bolder and this timid plan may be a case of too little, too lateThe Bank of England has muttered for so long about the possible dangers lurking in buy-to-let lending, the most excitable end of the housing market, that it had to do something. Against that backdrop, Tuesday\u2019s policy response can only be viewed as timid. Would-be landlords \u2013 or, at least, those who weren\u2019t planning to perform advanced gymnastics with their personal finances \u2013 will not tremble.
