\nSize would be set at 6.5 sq metres in attempt to stop landlords creating \u2018rabbit hutch properties\u2019 to increase rental incomeThe government is proposing a national minimum bedroom size as part of a drive to stop landlords carving up houses into ever smaller rooms to maximise rental income.
