Surely it is a magnet for fingerprints? \u201cAbsolutely,\u201d says Rainbird. \u201cIt gets polished every day.\u201d It contains a toilet, a larder and a cupboard for each member of the family: Rainbird, Horgan and their daughters Sadhbh, 14, and Amer, nine.The rose gold is a nod to the sunset skies of Los Angeles, where Rainbird and Horgan \u2013 whose TV writing credits include Catastrophe, Divorce and Motherland \u2013 have spent a good part of the past five years. Catastrophe was based on the couple\u2019s unplanned pregnancy six months into their relationship. \u201cWe had a lot of discussions about the cube,\u201d says Rainbird, 44. \u201cSharon said it looks like Stringfellows [nightclub]. But we love it.\u201d Rainbird sold his advertising business in 2013, the year they bought their home. \u201cThat\u2019s when Sharon\u2019s career went bananas,\u201d he says. \u201cIt\u2019s just as well I\u2019d stopped working, otherwise the family might have imploded.\u201d Continue reading…
