\nYou have until 1 March to get rid of old tenners before they are no longer legal tender \u2013 so what are your options?There is still \u00a32.2bn worth of the old-style paper \u00a310 notes in circulation \u2013 but you have just 12 days left to spend them before they lose their status as legal tender on Thursday 1 March.The new plastic \u00a310 note featuring Jane Austen came into circulation in mid-September, replacing the \u00a38bn-worth of notes that carry the image of Charles Darwin on the reverse. But as the deadline draws near, the Bank of England says 218m \u00a310 notes remain in circulation, worth \u00a32,182m, or 27% of the total that were issued. Continue reading…
