\nI\u2019ve been told I have to pay for tickets with my credit cardWe were given an online Ticketmaster voucher as a present. When we tried to use it we discovered we couldn\u2019t. I spent an hour on the phone to an agent who told me that owing to an \u201cissue\u201d our voucher could not be used and we had to pay for theatre tickets using our credit card. It would then refund the cost to our card within 15 days. SC, Rugby, Warwickshire The reason is a familiar one \u2013 you can\u2019t access the paid-for deal because Ticketmaster is improving its service to customers. The company explains that a website upgrade means online gift cards can\u2019t be processed for certain events. \u201cTo overcome this, customers can purchase tickets for the event and then contact us for a refund,\u201d says a spokesperson. \u201cWe would like to stress this is a temporary measure.\u201d Another reason to be wary of gift vouchers.
