\nDemand for ethical goods is soaring, but what\u2019s the secret to launching a financially successful, socially responsible startup?When John Bird launched the Big Issue in 1991, he had no idea how to make money ethically \u2013 or how successful his magazine would turn out to be.\u201cI wanted to create a sustainable alternative to begging, crime and prostitution for people stuck on the streets,\u201d he says. \u201cBut I was not a saintly person.
