\nChinese developer Kingsford Development expects to receive 100 drawings for the contest.
\nKingsford Development, the builder of the 512-unit Hillview Peak and 1,165-unit Waterbay condominiums, has launched its first \u201cMy Dream Home Drawing Competition\u201d.
\nThe contest is open to children aged six to 12 and youths between 13 and 18. The top winners from each age group will get $1,000 and $1,500 respectively, while the second and third placers will receive between $500 and $1,000.
\n\u201cFor this competition, we would like to engage children and youths in a creative panel and develop their passion for art, curiosity and creativity to draw out their dream home,\u201d said a spokesperson for the China-based company.
\nThe spokesperson revealed that they expect to receive 100 drawings for the contest, for which submissions started on 18 August and will end on 19 September.
\nThe shortlisted entries will be showcased at the awards ceremony on 23 September, and the finalists will undergo on-the-spot voting to determine the top three winners for each category.
\nThe winning entries will be selected based on creativity, colour and a 200-word description of each drawing. The judging panel includes several experts including Singapore Watercolour Society president Seah Kang Chui, full-time artist Lee Kian Choong and Xu Jinsong, creative director at Vizone Media Production.
\nAside from cash prizes, the winners and their drawings will also be featured in Kingsford\u2019s promotional videos and on Vizone\u2019s website, as well as social media platforms like Facebook and WeChat.
