\nWe\u2019d been paying for cover for more than 20 years but when it came to dental treatment we were refusedDespite paying thousands of pounds for more than 20 years to Petplan to cover our pets, when our 12-year-old cat Daisy needed four teeth extracted we had to pay \u00a3427.93. Though our vet sent a second letter confirming Daisy was up to date with annual and dental checks, the claim was rejected. We felt angry and, having no confidence that it would not happen again, we cancelled all three of our pets\u2019 policies before having to pay the next round of premiums. We now save into a pets\u2019 savings account. We feel such idiots trusting these people. If it was car insurance, a claim on a no-fault accident could be declined because your service record did not show that the ashtrays had been emptied!
