\nIt cracked, then broke, but the company refuses to repair itTwo years ago I purchased a Zanussi freezer from my local John Lewis. It \u00a0is still working well, except the door handle recently developed a crack\u00a0in the middle and has now broken\u00a0completely. I wrote to Zanussi hoping for a replacement because this appears to have been caused by a manufacturing fault. I was astonished to hear back that the handle is considered a \u201ccosmetic\u201d item. I had expected an excuse about \u201cnormal wear and tear\u201d or it being just over the expiry of the two-year guarantee, but this is a new one on me. Continue reading…
