\nThey removed the gas and electricity meter for non-payment, despite me telling them she\u2019d died a year beforeNpower broke into my grandmother\u2019s house and removed the gas and electricity meters, despite having been told a year ago that she\u2019d died. It justified the forced entry by claiming she owed \u00a31,300, a bill it admitted had been wrongly estimated. In fact, \u00a3300 was owing but was only unpaid because npower hadn\u2019t updated its systems when we reported her death.It told us that it had tried to phone prior to breaking in, causing \u00a3100-worth of damage.
