\nAfter our story last week about Christopher Seddon\u2019s \u2018scandalous treatment\u2019, pressure has grown and the supermarket has agreed to a pay-outChrisopher Seddon, the 60-year-old author featured in Guardian Money last week after being falsely accused of shoplifting, has been paid a substantial sum following an outcry by readers furious at his treatment at the hands of supermarket group Waitrose.Last week we related how Seddon was accused of stealing \u00a3102-worth of meat by a security guard at Waitrose\u2019s Chesham branch. He was grabbed by the police, handcuffed and accused of taking the meat 17 days earlier. The guard had downloaded a shot of the alleged thief from the store\u2019s CCTV feed. Continue reading…
