\nThey are Oasis Terraces in Punggol, SkyResidence @ Dawson and SkyOasis @ Dawson.
\nThe awards, handed out by the National Parks Board under its Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework (LEAF), recognise projects that bring nature to residents\u2019 doorstep and have greening initiatives aimed at boosting biodiversity and environmental conservation.
\nThis is the fourth consecutive year that HDB has clinched the LEAF certification.
\n\u201cIn designing HDB projects, we consciously weave in greenery to provide visual respite in our urban setting. These green spaces also serve as recreational spaces for residents to enjoy, and community spaces where the kampong spirit can ignite and grow,\u201d said HDB CEO Dr Cheong Koon Hean.
\nOasis Terraces in Punggol is designed with a series of cascading multi-coloured gardens to resemble landscaped hills overlooking the Punggol Waterway. Set for completion in the first half of 2018, the project will also house rain gardens.
\nThe two projects in Dawson, which are both slated for completion in 2020, offer a distinctive \u2018housing in the park\u2019 experience.
\nSkyResidence @ Dawson will have six mature Angsana trees in its central plaza, while a 500m long \u2018Green Ribbon\u2019 will connect the eight residential blocks.
\nMeanwhile, SkyOasis @ Dawson will have a landscaped eco deck with 3-generation playgrounds and seats with trellis and shelters, a roof garden which sits atop the commercial facilities on the second level, as well as sky gardens on the 14th and 35th storeys of the 45-storey blocks.
\n\u201cI am encouraged to see HDB projects being recognised for excellence in greening and landscape, year after year. We will continue to press on with fresh ideas and bold designs to make every HDB precinct a green sanctuary for our residents,\u201d added Dr Cheong.
