\nThe Fountain House block in Mayfair is thought to contain the capital\u2019s most expensive student accommodation at more than \u00a35,000 a weekAn American fashion student has signed up to pay \u00a321,000 a month to rent what could be London\u2019s most expensive student property. The student is set to pay \u00a35,250 a week for the three-bedroom apartment in Mayfair \u2013 one of a block of luxury flats being marketed at wealthy overseas students. A recent report found there were 67,500 international students attending London universities, and that they spend \u00a31.36bn a year on living expenses. In recent years there has been a growing market in luxury accommodation, designed to appeal to the wealthiest overseas students whose parents are often willing to pay a year\u2019s rent upfront.
