\nAnnual price growth accelerated for third month in a row in October, amid warnings of a surge in buy-to-let purchases before AprilHouse price growth is accelerating, with the latest official data showing another robust monthly rise, prompting a leading property commentator to warn that the housing market is heading for a \u201cboom and bust\u201d.The average cost of a home in the UK now stands at \u00a3287,000 following a 0.8% rise in October, said the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
