\nAfter Brexit sent sterling diving, and with the school holidays starting, we look at what cards you should use abroad and where to get cashTwelve months ago, British holidaymakers were enjoying some of the best deals on their holiday money for many years. Sterling was riding high, with \u00a31 buying \u20ac1.43 in the eurozone and $1.56 in the US. But post-Brexit the pound slumped, and it now buys just \u20ac1.19 and $1.31 respectively. It means that families who had a budget of \u00a3750 for spending in Spain last year will have to find around \u00a3880 this summer if they want to buy the same things.What\u2019s more, the above exchange rates are the \u201cpure\u201d market rates not usually offered to holidaymakers \u2013 the bad news is that some bureaux de change are offering barely above \u20ac1 for \u00a31 \u2013 especially if you leave it to the last minute and change your money at the airport.
