\nThere\u2019s inspiration for everything from paint colours and tableware to furniture and lighting Of Aesop\u2019s 11 UK branches, its Richmond store, in a three-storey, 18th-century town house, feels the most homely. \u201cWhen we stripped back the premises, we uncovered wooden panelling, fireplaces and sealed doors,\u201d says Deidra Hodgson, who oversees the design of the Australian skincare brand\u2019s UK stores. \u201cWe discovered a domestic space, so we took that as our starting point.\u201d For the walls, she chose a calming heritage blue (Sanderson\u2019s Blue Clay), \u201cwhich already felt aged and patinated\u201d, with eccentric accents not normally found in bathrooms.
