\nI don\u2019t know the woman debt collectors think is me but that doesn\u2019t stop them calling. Now, thankfully, there is a federal effort to tackle this growing problemHer name is Kathryn. Every few weeks, I\u2019ll answer the phone, and someone will want to talk to her. In fact, whoever is on the other end of the line will insist on talking to her. They assume that I am her, even when I inform her that I\u2019m not and that I don\u2019t know who she is. They threaten that if I don\u2019t bring her to the phone, I\u2019ll face \u201cconsequences\u201d. Sometimes I\u2019ll get two phone calls a day, every day of the week. Continue reading…
