\nTwo salespeople assured me that the cost of returning them would be only \u00a339In April I went into the Croydon branch of Oak Furniture Land. I chose a set of wardrobes but I was worried that they might not go up my stairs. I was approached by the assistant manager. I\u00a0explained the dilemma and after much debate she told me that if they wouldn\u2019t fit, all I needed to do was pay the delivery charge of \u00a339 to return it. With that reassurance I bought three double wardrobes, two bookcases, a chest of drawers, a mirror and a sofa. I\u00a0also paid \u00a3322 for insurance (five-year accidental and structural furniture and leather upholstery guard) and the extra \u00a339 customised delivery option. When I\u00a0got home I was still concerned, so called the shop to double-check. I spoke to a gentleman who was friendly and helpful, and reassured me that I only needed to pay for the delivery charge if the wardrobes didn\u2019t fit. Continue reading…
