\nA 400-year old Dutch farm is in a constant state of flux, thanks to its artistic ownerI fell in love with her!\u201d exclaims Reineke Antvelink. \u201cI think she\u2019s just beautiful. I\u2019m always wondering: what have you been through these past 400 years?\u201d The Dutch interior designer is talking about her own home (\u201cI think of the building as a she\u201d) \u2013 a beguiling 17th-century thatched farmhouse in rural Abcoude, just 20 minutes south of Amsterdam.Reineke left the city behind eight years ago \u2013 a move precipitated by a lengthy project in Italy. \u201cI was working on a large retreat in northern Italy,\u201d she explains. \u201cI lived there on and off for a few years and the site was completely immersed in nature. Each time I went, I noticed how calm my surroundings made me feel.
