\nIt\u2019s official: today, 13 January 2016, we can finally reveal that Ensign Media\u2019s assets and operations are now part of PropertyGuru, Asia\u2019s leading online property portal group

\nThe new entity, named PropertyGuru International, will continue Ensign\u2019s core operations, including Property Report, Asia\u2019s leading bimonthly print and online magazine for luxury real estate, architecture and design; the conference brand Property Report Congress; and of course the acclaimed Asia Property Awards series, which now enters its 11th year with nine national editions across Southeast Asia and Greater China.
\n\u201cWe\u2019re excited to welcome the Ensign team and businesses to PropertyGuru. This latest acquisition strengthens the Group\u2019s content, geographic reach and services we provide to real estate developers regionally,\u201d said Steve Melhuish, CEO and co-founder of PropertyGuru.
\nAside from strengthening PropertyGuru\u2019s integrated property media capability, the acquisition will combine the group\u2019s leading online property sites and its 20 property shows across the region, with Ensign\u2019s leading print and online publication and a highly successful and prestigious property industry awards platform in Asia.
\nPropertyGuru to date has 14 million users, while Property Report counts 70,000 online and offline readers. Now all of them\u00a0can access PropertyGuru\u2019s 600 monthly research and news articles published in three languages across four markets, and Property Report\u2019s 100-plus online features per month that receive more than 60,000 page views monthly.
\n\u201cSearching for the right property, gathering trends, insightful news and feature stories, PropertyGuru is well-placed to help them find the home they\u2019ve always dreamed about,\u201d added Melhuish.
\nAll existing staff of old Ensign \u2013 the fast-growing media company founded by Terry Blackburn and Duncan Worthington in 2003, headquartered in Singapore and with offices in Thailand \u2013 will be absorbed into the PropertyGuru Group.
\nOn top of the name change and a wider reach, it\u2019s business as usual for the old Ensign brands. But to real estate advertisers across Asia, the most immediate benefit of this merger is that they can now work with PropertyGuru \u2013 a single media partner \u2013 to support their regional branding initiatives across multiple platforms, reaching a wider audience, and eventually, driving more real estate transactions.
\nBlackburn still has big things in mind for the vibrant real estate media businesses that he co-founded 12 years ago. As part of the transition, he will stay on in his executive role and continue to drive growth for PropertyGuru International\u2019s newly acquired, distinguished brands.

\nFree, fair and transparent, the Asia Property Awards 2016 programme will kick off in Cambodia this February, then move on to the Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia, with the annual South East Asia Property Awards grand finals to be held in Singapore. The China Property Awards separately cover Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau and are held annually in Hong Kong.
