\nThe brilliantly colourful and eclectic home of Lucinda Chambers, Vogue\u2019s former fashion director, is \u2018a constant work-in-progress\u2019When Lucinda Chambers says, \u201cI see every flat surface as a colour opportunity,\u201d she isn\u2019t fibbing. The west London three-storey Victorian home of the former fashion director of British Vogue \u2013 now founder of both the online shopping platform Collagerie and the fashion and homeware label Colville \u2013 is a deliciously love-worn colour fest. Joyful without being wacky, layered with pattern and textural contrast, it\u2019s a delight \u2013 unless you\u2019re a minimalist.I\u2019m not, but even I start to feel anxious while attempting to record the highlights. I\u2019ve barely noted the ornate fountain in the front garden when I\u2019m distracted by\u2026 well, everything: the front door\u2019s floral curtain cinched with a knot of pom-poms; a Moroccan chandelier; the impressive gallery of photography creeping like smoke up the stairs; a glimpse of a white-painted veranda, festooned with hanging lanterns and a glitter ball, the tangled green garden beyond.
