\nSurvey finds parents use their children\u2019s cash for expenses ranging from household bills to the \u2018tooth fairy\u2019Nearly half of parents admit to being \u201cpiggy bank raiders\u201d who occasionally dip into their children\u2019s cash to cover costs such as parking, takeaways, taxis, school trips and paying the window cleaner.Some 46% of parents of children aged between four and 16 years old said they have taken money from their child\u2019s savings, a survey by Nationwide Building Society has found. The average amount taken over the past year was \u00a321.41, while one in 10 parents had taken \u00a350 or more during that period. Continue reading…
