\nSelected government service centres are set to resume operations from 2 June but by appointment only.
\nThese include service counters at HDB Hub and HDB branches, Central Provident Fund\u2019s (CPF) five service centres and the taxpayer and business service centre of Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) at Revenue House, reported CNA citing the Public Service Division (PSD).
\n\u201cFor the immediate post circuit breaker period in Phase 1, selected government service centres \u2026 will resume the physical delivery of services in a limited and controlled manner, such as by appointments only,\u201d said PSD on Monday (25 May).
\n\u201cHowever, to safeguard public health, the Public Service will continue to keep the majority of its service centres closed in Phase One, and use digital means as the primary mode of providing services.\u201d
\nAlso resuming operations from 2 June are the employment pass service centre of the Ministry of Manpower, the student health centre of the Health Promotion Board and the one-stop information and service centre for hawkers of the National Environment Agency at HDB Hub.
\nPSD revealed that the Courts will also resume hearings, which will be conducted by using remote communication technology where possible and appropriate.
\nSome dental clinics within schools will also reopen from 2 June without the need for appointments.
\n\u201cWe urge all visitors to observe safe management measures during their transactions, i.e. reschedule appointments if they are unwell, wear a mask at all times, and register their visits via the SafeEntry app,\u201d said PSD.
\nLast week, authorities unveiled plans to lift Covid-19 restrictions in three phases following the circuit breaker period\u2019s end.
\nPSD noted that Phase 1 will see majority of the public service workforce still working from home.
\nAll public sector sports, social and arts facilities like museums, libraries, parks, beaches and SportSG facilities will remain closed.
\nMore service centres and facilities will resume operations in Phase 2 and 3.
\n\u201cHowever, even in Phase 3, we must remain vigilant and make ongoing efforts to minimise the risk of community spread of COVID-19,\u201d said PSD.
\n\u201cHence, the Public Service will also continue to step up its efforts to promote digital literacy and to empower citizens to use digital means to access more and more public services, including promoting digital services to senior citizens.\u201d
