{"id":115416,"date":"2020-04-06T11:28:24","date_gmt":"2020-04-06T04:28:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.siamlandbank.com\/propertynews\/property-news\/third-round-of-support-measures-to-be-announced-under-new-solidarity-budget\/"},"modified":"2020-04-06T12:04:01","modified_gmt":"2020-04-06T05:04:01","slug":"third-round-of-support-measures-to-be-announced-under-new-solidarity-budget","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.siamlandbank.com\/propertynews\/property-news\/third-round-of-support-measures-to-be-announced-under-new-solidarity-budget\/","title":{"rendered":"Third round of support measures to be announced under new \u201cSolidarity Budget\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#013;<br \/>\nThird support measures will be known as the Solidarity Budget and will be announced by Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat today at 3pm.\u00a0<br \/>\nFinance Minister Heng Swee Keat is set to announce the third round of support measures when the Parliament sits today (6 April) to help workers, businesses and households tide through the difficulties brought by the Covid-19 outbreak.<br \/>\nIn a Facebook post on 5 April,\u00a0Heng noted that the pandemic \u201chas taken a very sharp turn, both globally and locally\u201d.<br \/>\nAnd while schools and most workplaces are closed for a month for the \u201cfirst time in our history\u201d to prevent the spread of the disease, and strong measures have been introduced, the minister also recognizes that the economy \u201chas taken a hit as a result.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cTomorrow will mark the third round of support measures in less than two months \u2014 coming after the Unity Budget on 18 February and the Resilience Budget on 26 March. This too is another first,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nHeng, who also serves as Deputy Prime Minister, named the third support measures as the Solidarity Budget and calls Singaporeans to \u201cremain steadfast\u201d and stand in solidarity with one another, reported CNA.<br \/>\n\u201cUnity, resilience, solidarity \u2014 these values will come to define who we are as a people,\u201d noted Heng.<br \/>\nHe believes the crisis will forge and renew the bond that binds Singapore as a nation and acknowledges the earlier generations for saving up and building a strong foundation upon which Singapore depends these days for the protection of its people and their businesses.<br \/>\nIn what he called as the \u201cdefining chapter of our generation\u201d, Heng is confident that Singapore will survive and emerge stronger together.<br \/>\n\u201cWhen the storm eventually subsides, as all storms do, I am confident that as a stronger society, we can build an even better future for our children and our grandchildren,\u201d he concluded.<br \/>\nLooking for a property in Singapore?
