\nQ I was in Belfast recently and withdrew some cash from a Northern Bank ATM. As I didn’t spend it all, I returned to England with a few notes, but every time I have tried to use them to pay for goods in shops or for taxi fares, I have met with refusal. Surely, as sterling currency, this money is legal tender throughout the UK? In Belfast, they were quite happy to accept the sterling notes I brought with me from England.LG Continue reading…
