The details of Malaysia\u2019s proposed changes to the RTS Link project is \u201cnot yet ready\u201d, said Khaw.<br \/>\n\u201cWithout the details, Malaysia\u2019s proposal is incomplete and Singapore is unable to make a thorough assessment of the technical and commercial feasibility of the proposal,\u201d he said in a written response to Parliament on Monday (4 November).<br \/>\nHe revealed that Malaysia had, on 29 October, requested for the suspension to be extended by another six months to 30 April 2020, reported CNA.<br \/>\n\u201cIn the spirit of bilateral cooperation, Singapore agreed to Malaysia\u2019s request to further extend the suspension period,\u201d said Khaw.<br \/>\nIn May, Malaysia and Singapore agreed to suspend the RTS Link\u2019s construction until 30 September at the request of Malaysia.<br \/>\nBoth parties agreed to extend the deadline for another month, until 31 October, when Malaysia\u00a0finally\u00a0declared that the project would proceed.<br \/>\n\u201cSingapore welcomes Malaysia\u2019s decision to proceed with the RTS Link Project. This is a mutually beneficial project for both countries.
