\nI tried to suspend it but it was reactivated and \u00a3204 taken from my accountI\u2019m having a lot of trouble with Virgin Active with a gym membership subscription (for the use of its Oxford club) that I thought I\u2019d cancelled last January. But it was reactivated in September, taking \u00a3204 from my account, and I have just stopped them (by cancelling my bank direct debit) from taking a further \u00a3102 in December. Other money that was supposed to have been refunded has not been. Because of all the catches and Virgin\u2019s incompetence I spent \u00a3396 on membership in 2015 that I haven\u2019t used once. I contacted head office but nobody is returning my calls. There seems to be a lot of red tape around freezing membership as you have to do it before a certain date, and yet they seem to be able to reactivate without authorisation. Continue reading…
