{"id":105641,"date":"2019-04-01T11:52:22","date_gmt":"2019-04-01T04:52:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.siamlandbank.com\/propertynews\/property-news\/nparks-launches-new-trails-from-coney-island-to-jurong\/"},"modified":"2019-04-01T12:02:59","modified_gmt":"2019-04-01T05:02:59","slug":"nparks-launches-new-trails-from-coney-island-to-jurong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.siamlandbank.com\/propertynews\/property-news\/nparks-launches-new-trails-from-coney-island-to-jurong\/","title":{"rendered":"NParks launches new trails from Coney Island to Jurong"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#013;<br \/>\nThe coast-to-coast trail will cut across the city-state, taking visitors through a variety of nature areas, parks and places of interest.<br \/>\nThe National Parks Board (NParks) has launched a 36km Coast-to-Coast (C2C) Trail that connects Coney Island Park in the northeast to Jurong Lake Gardens in the west as well as Rower\u2019s Bay along the Round Island Route (RIR).<br \/>\nThe C2C Trail cuts across the city-state, taking visitors through a variety of nature areas, parks and places of interest.<br \/>\nLooking for a property near the new trails?\u00a0Find an agent\u00a0to take the hassle out of your home search.\u00a0<br \/>\nNParks revealed that the trail is supported by a \u201cC2C mobile application, which makes use of interactive augmented reality (AR) elements to provide users with a curated walking experience, as well as an online trail guide\u201d.<br \/>\nThe app also features a reward system, in which users accumulate points by uploading photos to share experiences, completing in-app challenges and visiting checkpoints. The points will be converted to rewards like F&amp;B vouches, products and services.<br \/>\nBy next year, users of the app can develop their own curated trails, which they can share for others to experience.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, the new Rower\u2019s Bay features a lookout pavilion, boardwalk, swales and wetland.<br \/>\nIt is part of the first phase of works completed for the 150km RIR, which is expected to be progressively completed by 2035.<br \/>\nServing as a resting and gathering point for park users along the RIR, Rower\u2019s Bay also features other amenities such as a toilet, shelters with solar-powered USB charging points, F&amp;B vending machines and a self-help bicycle repair station.<br \/>\nSeparately, NParks announced that it has commenced works for a new park at Bukit Batok West Avenue 5.<br \/>\nLocated opposite Bukit Batok Driving Centre, the new Bukit Gombak Park will feature a nature playgarden, hill trek and other recreational facilities.<br \/>\nThe 4.8ha park is set to be opened to the public by early 2020.<br \/>\nCheck out PropertyGuru\u2019s\u00a0properties for sale in Bukit Batok!\u00a0Alternately, refer to our\u00a0handy buying guides,\u00a0or read more about\u00a0the hottest areas to live in with PropertyGuru\u2019s AreaInsider<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nRomesh Navaratnarajah, Senior Editor at PropertyGuru, edited this story.
