\nSC Global Developments revealed on Thursday (29 Nov) that it will hold private previews in Singapore this week for a luxury hotel apartment residence in Hokkaido, Japan.
\nDubbed Setsu Niseko, the 190-unit development represents its maiden construction project in the country, where it has previously bought a commercial property in Ginza, Tokyo. In particular, the Hokkaido project will offer various kinds of investment properties from studios, one to four-bedroom apartments and posh penthouses, with prices starting from around US$500,000 for a studio.

\nStudio sizes will begin from 439 sq ft, while the two-bedroom apartments will measure 994 sq ft and each will come with a tatami room. For the larger units, their built-up area will start from 1,518 sq ft.
\nTo-date, the developer has received more than 500 enquiries regarding the hotel residence, which will be officially launched in the town of Niseko by December.
\nLocated in the village of Grand Hirafu, which is considered the historic heart of the popular ski resort of Niseko, the 2.54-acre freehold project is strategically located along a major road. It is also a short walk to Hirafu Gondola Station, through which skiers can easily ascend the mountain.
\n\u201cNiseko is a favourite holiday destination for skiers in the winter and non-skiers in the warmer months. \u2018Setsu Niseko\u2019 offers the best of both worlds, providing a cherished home for holidays with loved ones and an investment opportunity for those who seek asset diversification,\u201d said SC Global Chairman and Founder Simon Cheong.
\nMoreover, Setsu Niseko will feature traditional Japanese design elements. These will be created in partnership with famed Singaporean architect Mok Wei Wei along with Japanese architects Field Four and Kume Sekkei.
\n\u201cSetsu Niseko is painstakingly crafted to balance traditional Japanese spaces with contemporary luxuries to create a space that feels warm and inviting. These include thoughtful Japanese touches like \u2018shoji\u2019 screens and tatami rooms,\u201d Cheong noted.
\nSC Global is known for building high-end homes in Singapore. In fact, it has developed Singapore\u2019s only beachfront condo, Seven Palms in Sentosa Cove. In addition, units at its Marq on Paterson Hill project have been described as \u201cmansions in the sky\u201d.
\nThe developer also ventured into smaller luxury homes with its recently launched Petit Jervois project. This 55-unit development is located on the former site of Jervois Gardens, which SC Global acquired through a $72million en bloc deal in September.
