\nMore than a hundred landlords in England and Wales received multiple housing convictionsThe most comprehensive ever survey of convicted landlords in England and Wales, carried out by the Guardian and ITV News, reveals that 502 landlords committed 752 housing offences in 2017. They were fined a total of \u00a32.7m \u2013 less than \u00a33,600 per offence.Many of the landlords were repeat offenders, with 123 convicted of multiple housing offences in the same year.
